The Future of Palestine Foundation, based in Hanover, is dedicated exclusively to charitable aims: education, encounter and related purposes within German tax law. It is a trust foundation linked to NAJDEH, Social Aid Organisation for Palestinians e.V.; NAJDEH represents the foundation externally.
In memoriam
The foundation was established in memory of the founder’s deceased relatives:
- The parents: Hassan Abdulmajeed Hussein (1916 – 16 July 1991) and Samiyyeh Saleh Alahmad (1920 – 18 July 1993)
- The eldest brother: Farouk Hassan Hussein (17 December 1939 – 29 August 2002)
- The cousin: Dr. Phil. Ibrahim Lutuf Abdulmajeed (29 August 1954 – 6 June 2011)
The first three received little or only elementary education; nevertheless—or precisely for that reason—they strove to give their children and many others the best possible education and to support educational institutions. The fourth was a dedicated secondary-school teacher who educated many generations; he also continued his own education to doctoral level, which he completed despite serious illness only a few months before his death.
